Describe the view you need.

Start with a plain-language request and let AI Assistant assemble a complete Perspective view for the project already open in Designer.

Use project resources, Gateway version, and Perspective context when building the response.
Choose Dark, Light, Default, or ISA-101 Greyscale styling for generated views.
Preview the rendered view before creating it.

02 / PREVIEW

Inspect the generated view.

Review the rendered Perspective result and the assistant's explanation before choosing a project path and creating the resource.

The preview renders the view but does not run scripts, event handlers, or writes.
Inspect the generated view.json and the plain-language Review alongside the visual result.
Refine the request or choose a view path and create the resource when the result is ready.

03 / WORK IN DESIGNER

Keep the built view and the assistant together.

Open the generated resource in Designer, ask about its structure and bindings, and continue the conversation beside the selected view.

Reference the open view and review the assistant's explanation of components, bindings, and data sources.
In the docked panel, Ask groups view edits for Apply or Reject. Auto applies them without another click. Approve a Plan before its follow-up applies view edits automatically; your saved mode does not change.
Designer resource changes publish only when you press Designer's Save. New tags, tag folders, and UDTs take effect immediately.

Project-aware context: Read views, scripts, Named Queries, tags, UDTs, database connections, and page configuration as needed.
Live project data: Browse tag details, list database connections and tables, and run read-only Named Queries.
Version-aware validation: Use the connected Gateway version and live Perspective component schema to validate generated views.
Focused references: Point to a project resource by path, paste a screenshot, or focus a requested change on one part of a view.

Requirements

Choose the build that matches your Ignition version.

OPERATING SYSTEM: Windows; Currently tested and supported on Windows. Other operating systems have not been verified.
IGNITION: 8.1.33+ or 8.3.0+; Use 8.1.33 or later on the 8.1 line, or 8.3.0 or later on the 8.3 line. Download the matching build.
PROJECT TYPE: Perspective; Built for Perspective-based projects. Project awareness does not extend to Vision or other Ignition modules.
AI USAGE: Cloud or local AI; Use a supported cloud provider with your own API key, or connect a compatible local AI server. AI-provider usage is billed separately.
CONNECTIVITY: Internet access; Required for initial online Gateway activation. Offline activation is not available. Cloud AI also requires connectivity.

Perspective is required. The Ignition Perspective module must be installed on the Gateway. S5 modules will not load without it.

Online activation. Activate and manage licenses on the Gateway page. Offline activation is not available. Trials expire at their fixed end date. Cloud AI requires internet access; a local AI server does not replace online license activation.

AI connects directly to the provider or compatible endpoint you configure, including Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI (maker of ChatGPT), Google, and OpenAI-compatible local or custom endpoints. S5 does not bundle or mark up AI credits, or route your project data, code or AI credentials through S5 servers for AI requests.

Compatibility varies by provider and model; listing a connection does not mean every provider and model combination has been tested. AI Assistant and Script IDE are licensed separately and maintain their own AI settings.
